Wow! It has been a while since I blogged...6 months that is. Well in those 6 months we have moved, got a Great Dane puppy, finished the school year and now the kids goes back to school in 19 days. I have also started a cookie and cake shop to but I will save that for a different blog.
This one was a couple of days after we got her.
She was 4 months old here. Yes she is just a PUPPY.
Nothing but a BIG lovable teddy bear.
I don't remember if I shared with ya'll that I started making a graph afghan. Well now you are sitting there saying " What in the world is that?". It is a blanket that has a picture made in it. I've heard them called picture blankets and several other things.
I started it before we moved and then it got packed up and I forgot about it. I actually thought that it got tossed out because I didn't really understand what I was really doing. My husband found it last month when he was unpacking a box that had some of his stuff in it. I didn't really know what to do with it because it looked like a mess but at the same time I didn't want to toss it out because there was really a lot of yarn there so I took it apart. The next day I was looking around at some pictures on facebook and I saw a completed graph afghan and I was in aw with it. I did some research and figured out the correct way to ready the chart and how to change colors and all that good stuff.
I try to work on it a little every day and get at least 3 rows finished before I go to bed.
A month later, I get the nose done.
Now I have all most ALL of the head done which means I am all most done with the blanket. I've learned a lot while working on this blanket. I didn't think I could do it when I purchased the pattern and the yarn but I like to challenge myself and find out what I can and can't do and see if I can figure it out.
I've made a list of other charts I want to get and I've also got some free ones that I have found. During the time that I've been working on it, I've been told " You are going to want to do more after this one." "They are addictive." I was thinking "Yeah right I'm not going to want to do more after this." Well guess what....I DO want to do more after this one and they ARE addictive. I think it is the challenge of making them for me. I never thought that I would be able to do it and I am pleased to know that I CAN do it.
I will post a picture of the finished one when I get it done in the next week or two.
If you would like to order one, you can find it
here in my shop. I will be adding more later on of different things. If you want another blanket ( like a foot ball team, base ball team, kid's favorite character, or anything else and you don't see it in the shop just send me an email : junesprettythings@gmail.com and I will do my best to see if I can find a pattern for it.
